My name is Charlene and I’m what some might call an emerging writer. I’m finishing up (fingers crossed!) my MA in Writing at Johns Hopkins University this semester but have not yet sent my writing out into the world. Just getting this website up took me twice as long as it would take someone half my age. I need a nap.

My plan for this website is to share my journey as an emerging writer. I hope to post every couple of weeks, not so much that it interferes with my other writing. The website appearance might change as I figure out what the hell I’m doing (did I mention how long it took to get this far), so please bear with me.
